The prompt behind my KRYVA launch film, from A to Z
I didn’t make this film in After Effects: it is entirely coded, with Claude Code and Remotion. Here is the exact prompt, the reference videos and what really happened.
The prompt
Translated from French: the original prompt used for the film was written in French. Both work the same with Claude.
You are a professional motion designer with extraordinary skills, able to make the best launch videos imaginable for B2B SaaS software. You must make a perfect video for the product Kryva (you can look in the app's code folder to understand in detail what it is). You have the colours: pure white for the background, black for the text, and accents in #d96040. You can also look at the Instagram visuals (fonts, ...) and the other videos already made. The goal is simple: a video that presents the product and all of its features in the most impressive way possible, with the biggest production value. Attached are 4 videos on 4 different angles: the product launch, the ad hook, the three-step explainer, and the app demo. Draw inspiration from them while sticking to Kryva's style, so that everything is simply perfect and aligned with the brand you are presenting today. A voice-over will be added along the way and sent to you later, so also prepare a script. The voice-over must present the product and will be laid on top. Only certain key sentences should be shown on screen (synced word by word with the voice-over). Imagine you are in After Effects: the result must be the same. Everything must be perfect for the product launch.
The 4 reference videos
One per intent, to attach to the prompt. Claude draws on them for rhythm and staging, not to copy them. These were made for this kit (their on-screen text is in French): replace them with videos whose style you like.
Product launch
hook, product reveal, call to action
Ad hook
a striking number, the problem, the solution, in 6 seconds
Three-step explainer
three clear steps, a camera moving forward
App demo
the product in action, gesture by gesture
From A to Z: what really happened
9:40 pm
The prompt
One single message, with the 4 reference videos attached, access to the app’s code so Claude understands the product, and the brand colours: white background, black text, #D96040 accent.
9:40 → 10:30 pm
The back-and-forth
About ten screenshots sent: what’s wrong, what to fix. Until a first approved version.
10:37 pm
The music
One single instruction: “the drop must land right after the voice says Voici KRYVA”. Claude syncs it on its own.
10:49 pm
The voice
Generated with ElevenLabs. Claude transcribes it word by word with Whisper, locally, and syncs the subtitles and animations to every word.
11:10 pm → midnight
The finishing touches
Voice a little louder, music a little lower, one fix in a scene, then a 4K 60 fps render and a thumbnail.
12:24 am
Scheduled on YouTube
About 2 h 45 from the first message to the scheduled video.
The truth: it’s not a magic prompt
- The video project already existed: I had made other KRYVA videos with Claude and Remotion in late September. It reused that base.
- That base had been created with Remotion’s official skill for Claude (“remotion-best-practices”). For the film itself, no extra skill: the prompt, the 4 videos, access to the product and the feedback.
- What makes the difference: reference videos, clear brand colours, access to the product, and precise feedback with screenshots.
Do it yourself, in 6 steps
1.Install Claude Code
You need a Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise account. No terminal? The Claude app (Code tab) does the same.
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
2.Create a Remotion project
You need Node.js. This command creates an empty video project.
npx create-video --yes --blank my-video cd my-video
3.Give Claude the Remotion know-how
Remotion’s official “skills” teach Claude the best practices.
npx remotion skills add
4.Start the preview, then Claude
The preview updates on every change. In a second terminal, start Claude in the same folder.
npm run dev # second terminal: claude
5.Paste the prompt and attach your references
Adapt the product, the colours and the 4 videos. Then fix things in small steps, with screenshots.
6.Render the video
From the preview (Render button) or by asking Claude to start a 4K render.
What really makes the difference
- ✦Give reference videos: Claude draws on them for rhythm, transitions and staging.
- ✦Give access to the product (code, screenshots, website): the video then shows the real product, not a made-up screen.
- ✦Brand colours in one line: background colour, text colour, accent colour.
- ✦Give feedback with annotated screenshots: “the text overflows here”, “this shot is too long”.
- ✦For the music, one precise instruction is enough: “the drop must land right after sentence X”.
- ✦Generate the voice last, and have subtitles and animations synced to every word.

FAQ
Do I need to know how to code?+
Not to write the prompt and give feedback: Claude writes the code. You only run a few commands (or use the Claude app).
How much does it cost?+
A paid Claude subscription (Pro at least) for Claude Code. Remotion is free for individuals and companies of up to 3 people; above that, a company licence is required. The ElevenLabs voice depends on your plan.
How long does it take?+
Here, 2 h 45 from the first message to the scheduled video, but in a project that already contained other videos. A first project will take longer.
Is the prompt enough?+
No. The prompt starts the work; the quality comes from the references, access to the product and the back-and-forth.
